LIST OF TIPS FOR BUYERS
Get professional help. Even though you may have unprecedented access to listings via the internet, you are better off using a real estate agent who will have your interest at heart and can assist you with strategies during the bidding process. At Seaside Realty we don’t stop searching until we have found the right property for you!
Before house hunting, get pre-approved. Being pre-approved will save you the time and grief of viewing homes that you cannot afford and put you in a better position to make a serious offer when you find the right property. This is not to be confused with pre-qualification.
Make an offer. Do not let the asking price of a property put you off. If you have viewed a property and have a figure in mind that you can afford, then ask your real estate agent to present the offer to the owner. Most owners will counter offer which will give you the option of increasing your offer and moving on to other options.
Hire a home inspector or engineer. Their job would be to point out potential problems that could require costly repairs down the road.
Be sure to get confirmation of exactly what furnishings and décor are coming with the property you viewed. Many homes may be staged and even though they are being advertized as fully furnished, it does not necessary mean that it includes everything that was in the property when you viewed it. Your agent will ensure to request an inventory from the owner for you.
